Prof. Dr. Monika Köppl-Turyna

Prof. Dr. Monika Köppl-Turyna ist Direktorin von EcoAustria. Zu ihren Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen Öffentliche Finanzen, Verteilungsfragen, Arbeitsmarkt und Fragen der politischen Ökonomie. Sie ist Professorin an der Seeburg Universität.

Die 38-jährige Ökonomin promovierte 2011 an der Universität Wien und war von 2011 bis 2015 Assistenzprofessorin am Lisbon University Institute. Anschließend war sie bei Agenda Austria als Senior Economist tätig und wurde Fellow der Global Labour Organisation. Darüber hinaus ist sie Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Beirats des Rudolf Sallinger Fonds und des Klimarats der Bürgerinnen und Bürger, sowie des Rats für Neue Arbeitswelten beim Bundesministerium für Arbeit. Köppl-Turyna habilitierte sich im Sommer 2020 an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. Seit September 2023 ist sie Professorin an der Seeburg Universität in Seekirchen und ab April 2024 wird sie als Professorin an der Universität Warschau unterrichten. Im aktuellen Ökonomen-Ranking 2021 von Presse/FAZ/NZZ belegt sie Rang 5 der einflussreichsten ÖkonomInnen in Österreich.
