EcoAustria at the Austrian Energy Trend Forum

On May 7, 2015, the Trend Forum, Austria's energy discussion series, focused on the topic of "How much regulation can the e-economy tolerate". On the panel, representatives from politics, business and science discussed questions about the right amount of state regulation. Research Director Ulrich Schuh, a participant in the discussion, does not see regulation as the enemy of competition, but rather as a prerequisite for it to function. However, he also pointed out that regulation must be appropriate, which is not always the case in Germany.
