"The last to bite the dogs - prospects for the next generation" was the motto of the Eco-Social Forum event on November 19, 2014 in Vienna.

In international assessments, the Austrian pension system is in the middle of the field. Many aspects of the Austrian pension system are rated positively. However, the sustainability of the system is criticized in particular. What does the future of the Austrian pension system look like? Will people who enter working life today be able to count on a state pension in old age? If so, how much? Should they make private provisions? And how secure are funded pension options? These and other questions were discussed on this evening, which was opened by Research Director Dr. Ulrich Schuh with a keynote speech.
