The annual conference of the European Public Choice Society will take place this year in Budapest from April 19 to 22, 2017. EcoAustria Research Director Tobias Thomas and co-authors will present new research findings on the perception of inequality and the role of the media in democracies . Speakers at the conference will include Catherine De Vries, University of Essex, on the topic of corruption and Gérard Roland, University of California, on the influence of culture on democratization processes.
The European Public Choice Society is one of the most important academic associations in the field of New Political Economy worldwide. This year's annual conference will take place at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, whose possible closure is currently the subject of protests in Hungary and Europe.
