EcoAustria is an independent economic research institute based in Vienna. The institute has been active in the Austrian research landscape since 2012.
Institute
EcoAustria is organized as a non-profit association and is financed by membership fees and contract research. More than 70 percent of the research institute’s annual budget is generated through competitively awarded research funds, e.g., from the Austrian National Bank’s Anniversary Fund, and through contract research, particularly in the public interest. Its clients include federal ministries, state governments, and the European Commission.

The Executive Board is responsible for the general principles of the association’s policy and for supervising its day-to-day business. It is elected by the General Assembly for a term of two years. The association is represented externally by the President and the Research Director (Institute Director).
Advisory members
The Advisory Board is an independent body of distinguished figures from the fields of science, society, and politics. It advises the Institute on scientific and economic policy matters.
