independent evidence-based transparent
EcoAustria is an independent economic research institute based in Vienna. The institute has been active in the Austrian research landscape since 2012.
Institute
Through independent, evidence-based economic research, EcoAustria delivers high-quality insights that inform political and economic decision-making and foster a scientifically grounded public discourse. In doing so, the institute has established itself as a trusted research partner at both the national and international level.
EcoAustria is organized as a non-profit association and is funded through membership fees and commissioned research. More than 70 percent of the annual budget is sourced from competitively awarded research grants—such as those provided by the OeNB Anniversary Fund—and from projects conducted in the public interest. Clients include federal ministries, regional governments, and the European Commission.
