Karl Sevelda new President of EcoAustria
Karl Sevelda is the new President of the economic research institute EcoAustria. He succeeds Josef Moser, who resigned from his position at EcoAustria due to his new role as Federal Minister for Constitution, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice. "We are delighted that in Karl Sevelda we have been able to gain an outstanding personality as President, who has extensive experience in the economy, particularly in the banking sector, and is excellently networked," says Tobias Thomas, Director of the Institute.
"As an independent research institution, EcoAustria has already succeeded in contributing its scientific expertise to the economic policy debate in recent years. We want to intensify this step by step and also support decision-makers in politics and companies with evidence-based research," says Karl Sevelda. "I see my voluntary commitment to EcoAustria as a kind of supervisory board. The institute will continue to be headed by Mr. Thomas, whom I have come to know as an excellent scientist and highly competent discussion partner, particularly in the areas of public finance and competitiveness," says Sevelda.
EcoAustria has been an independent economic research institute in the national and international scientific landscape for six years. With its high-quality scientific analyses of current economic and economic policy issues, EcoAustria contributes to the scientifically sound economic policy debate in Austria and abroad.
