A data analysis of the Austrian pension system - combining data from the statutory pension insurance scheme with that of the public legal entities - relentlessly reveals the worrying development of the Austrian pension system: the shortfall in pension cover amounted to EUR 20.5 billion in 2013 and is increasing at an alarming rate year on year. The analysis was carried out by the EcoAustria Institute for Economic Research.
