“Redistribution in the pension system” – Young Industry press conference

The Austrian pension system has been the subject of debate for many years - supporters of reform and those who want to preserve the system are sometimes irreconcilably opposed to each other. The discussion usually only focuses on the overall costs of the pension system and the low retirement age in Austria. But what redistribution effects does our pension system have? How much taxpayers' money is spent on which types of pension? To date, Austria has lacked a clear, easily understandable answer to these questions. EcoAustria analyzed this and more in a study commissioned by Junge Industrie, which was presented at a press conference on 24.11.2015.
