Study: Efficiency potential in the area of state administration
The study "Determining efficiency potential in the area of state administration" presents results for determining the efficiency potential inherent in Austria's federal structure. Assuming additive results and ignoring indirect effects, overlaps and multiple entries, a general government efficiency potential of around EUR 4.95 billion can be identified in the analyzed areas of general administration, compulsory education, childcare, health and care services and housing subsidies. Relative to overall economic output, this corresponds to around 1.5% of GDP.
