The fifth Dürnstein Symposium, which took place from March 10 to 12, 2016 at Dürnstein Abbey in the Wachau region, focused on the topic of "Trust in uncertain times". The loss of trust in business, democracy and the media was examined: international experts addressed the causes, effects and solutions in 15 presentations and panel discussions. Chief Research Officer Ulrich Schuh also gave a lecture on the topic of "Trust between states. Example: the European Monetary Union".
