Virág Bittó, MSc. (CEU) is economist at EcoAustria. Her fields of research at the institute include climate policy, the economics of the energy transition, as well as foreign economic policy and innovation. 

Bittó graduated with merit from the Economic Policy in Global Markets Master’s Program of the Central European University (CEU) in July 2021, where she was also a recipient of the competitive Alumni Scholarhsip. During her studies, she participated in an international research project, funded by the Center for Social Sciences in Budapest, focusing on international political economy. There she worked together with social scientists from Germany, Austria, as well as Hungary. Prior to that, Bittó has completed her Bachelor studies at the Corvinus University of Budapest where she studied International Business Economics. Parallel to her studies, Virág Bittó conducted research at the Game Theory Research Group at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as a Research Assistant. Additionally, she gained professional experience in the consulting industry too, when working at the Strategy & Operations as well as Public Sector Advisory Teams in 2019 at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hungary.
