Prof. Dr. Monika Köppl-Turyna

Prof. Dr. Monika Köppl-Turyna ist Direktorin von EcoAustria. Zu ihren Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen Öffentliche Finanzen, Verteilungsfragen, Arbeitsmarkt und Fragen der politischen Ökonomie.

Die 40-jährige Ökonomin promovierte 2011 an der Universität Wien und war von 2011 bis 2015 Assistenzprofessorin am Lisbon University Institute. Anschließend war sie bei Agenda Austria als Senior Economist tätig und wurde Fellow der Global Labour Organisation.

Darüber hinaus ist sie Vorstand bei:

Köppl-Turyna habilitierte sich im Sommer 2020 an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. Seit September 2023 lehrt sie zudem als Professorin an der Seeburg Universität in Seekirchen und seit April 2024 an der Universität Warschau. Im aktuellen Ökonomen-Ranking 2021 von Presse/FAZ/NZZ belegt sie Rang 5 der einflussreichsten ÖkonomInnen in Österreich.
